Valorise your biomass into independence and income
Ibex Energy designs and installs turnkey methanization solutions to valorise your organic effluents. By transforming your by-products into biogas, heat or electricity, we help you reduce costs, strengthen your energy independence and sustainably improve your carbon footprint.
Our Solutions
Ibex Milky Whey®
Ibex Energy deploys the “Ibex Milky Whey®” digester, a technology dedicated to the valorization of liquid food by-products (whey, permeate, white water, fruit juices …). Already installed in Europe and Canada, this turnkey, high-performance and well-proven solution for over 25 years transforms your effluents into renewable energy directly on site.
The Ibex Milky Whey® digester treats the whey and white water from your cheesery to produce renewable biogas. Thanks to an anaerobic high-efficiency reactor, it valorizes 100 % of liquid effluents while strongly reducing the organic load. It can be integrated into new projects or existing facilities, is energy-efficient and dismantlable — adaptable to all industrial configurations.
— Key data & advantages
2 to 6 million litres/year
Capacity adapted to artisanal or industrial cheeseries.
150 to 300 m² floor space
Compact installation, easily integrable on your site.
30 to 40 Nm³ of biogas per tonne
High, stable yield depending on whey quality.
165 to 220 kWh per tonne
Each tonne of whey becomes a source of profitable energy.
–70 % to –100 % CO₂ emissions
Dramatically reduce your carbon footprint.
90 % to 95 % efficiency
Reactor nearly completely lowers organic load.
The digestate
becomes a nutrient-rich organic fertilizer (N, P, K).
Up to 100 % energy autonomy
Installations can cover all or part of your energy needs.
Ibex Energy offers the “Biogas Chalet Ibex®”, a methanization solution combining solid and liquid biomass under anaerobic conditions to produce biogas and energy. The installation includes high-quality, acid-resistant concrete fermentation boxes and a liquid digester operating in staggered cycles.
— Typical capacity & performance
800 to 1 600 tonnes/year
Ideal for valorizing dry biomass from agricultural operations.
3 to 4 digesters
Modular configuration according to project size and needs.
35 to 80 Nm³ of biogas per tonne
Good energy yield depending on biomass nature.
15 to 50 kW electric / 15 to 60 kW thermal
Combined production of electricity and heat via cogeneration.
45 kWp solar
The installation can integrate photovoltaic solar panels with battery storage.
Biogas valorisation
Production of hot water (90 °C) or electricity depending on configuration.
4 to 5 weeks fermentation cycle
Optimal for maximum yield.
Energy autonomy
Coverage of energy needs depending on project configuration.
CO₂-neutral
Biogas is the “Swiss oil”: produced locally, without transport, and CO₂-neutral. The biomass releases during combustion exactly the CO₂ it had absorbed, making biogas a renewable and versatile energy.
